DESCRIPTION:\nElectrocatalysis plays a central role in the transition towar
 ds sustainable energy and chemical production\, enabling the conversion of
  renewable electricity into fuels and valuable chemicals. Translating fund
 amental advances into practical technologies requires a deeper understandi
 ng of electrochemical interfaces\, catalyst activity and stability\, and t
 he factors governing performance under realistic operating conditions.\nAs
  part of the Royal School of Mines’ 175th anniversary celebrations\, thi
 s symposium will showcase research in the Department of Materials at Imper
 ial College London\, alongside contributions from leading researchers in a
 cademia and industry. The focus will be on low-temperature electrocatalysi
 s (below 100 °C)\, spanning fundamental understanding\, materials develop
 ment and technological applications. Topics will include hydrogen producti
 on\, electrochemical nitrogen and carbon dioxide reduction\, oxygen electr
 ocatalysis\, biomass and alkane valorisation\, and the development of effi
 cient and durable electrochemical devices.\nThrough invited presentations 
 and a poster session\, the event will highlight how advances in fundamenta
 l electrochemistry\, materials characterisation and device engineering can
  contribute to sustainable technologies\, while fostering discussion and c
