 peaker\nGabriele Albertini is Assistant Professor at the University of Not
 tingham. His research combines computational\, experimental\, and data-dri
 ven approaches to friction and fracture mechanics\, focusing on high-strai
 n-rate and non-equilibrium dynamics of cracks and slip pulses. He complete
 d his PhD at Cornell University in 2021\, including research visits at ETH
  Zürich and Sorbonne Université. He was subsequently awarded a Swiss Nat
 ional Science Foundation postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University\, w
 here he studied the tunability of frictional interfaces
