  Stratocumulus Morphology and Aerosol-Cloud Interactions\nAbstract: Marine
  low-level clouds span a continuum of morphologies but are often classifie
 d into discrete regimes. I will present a new ternary framework that captu
 res this continuum and provides insights into cloud morphological evolutio
 n and the underlying physical\nprocesses. The framework also allows us to 
 better characterize how cloud responses to changes in droplet number conce
 ntration depend on morphology. The results reveal considerable variability
  in the contributions of liquid water path\, cloud cover\, and the\nTwomey
  effect to the overall cloud albedo response\, with these contributions ei
 ther offsetting or amplifying one another. These findings also have import
 ant implications for the potential effectiveness of marine cloud brighteni
 ng.
