The UK Turbulence Consortium and the UKFN SIG MUMATUR have been crucial for the UK in order to coordinate, augment and unify the research efforts of its participants towards a better understanding of turbulent flows by exploiting modern HPC platforms ranging from multicore/manycore architectures to accelerators to graphics processing units.
The annual meeting will provide opportunities to meet colleagues from across various institutions in the UK and to share new scientific findings and new technical knowledge. The programme will include a combination of short oral presentations and posters. The three invited speakers this year are: Maria Vittoria Salvetti from Pisa Universty, Vittorio Michelassi from Baker Hughes and Heng Xiao from Virginia Tech.
