DESCRIPTION:Medicine demands factual knowledge\, physical skill and the abi
 lity to work with patients and colleagues. Most of the time clinicians lea
 rn from other clinicians\, studying hard within a frame that discourages e
 xploration outside medicine. \nFocusing on the performance of medicine ch
 allenges this frame by connecting with actors\, musicians\, cratfsmen\, da
 ncers and other experts. This lecture explores the idea of frames\, using 
 illustrations to ask what benefits may result from thinking widely and cha
 llenging longstanding assumptions.\nNo reservations are required for this 
 lecture. It will be run on a ‘first come\, first served’ basis.Doors w
