SUMMARY:Researcher Development Course
DESCRIPTION:This short course offers a practical introduction to research f
 or healthcare professionals. While it is not intended to cover every aspec
 t of research or replace a Master’s-level degree\, it provides a strong 
 foundation – ideal preparation for further academic study or clinical re
 search projects.\nThe course is particularly suited to clinicians who wish
  to build confidence and deepen their understanding of research principles
 . We’ve carefully selected key skills essential for conducting high-qual
 ity research to help you get started.\nThe course is offered remotely in t
 wo 2 day modules. The gap between the modules is intended to allow you tim
 e to use and develop the skills taught during days 1 and 2\, and to spend 
 time developing a research question and start to formulate a proposal.\nMo
 dule 1 will be run online\, and Module 2 will be in-person. Partici
 pants must attend both modules in order to complete the course:\nModule da
 tes are as follows:\nModule 1 – 22  & 23 October 2025 (Online)\nModule 
 2 – 1 & 2 December 2025 (In-person)\nAll sessions incorporate mixed lear
 ning methods\, including live remote lectures\, discussion and practical e
 xercises.  The searching the literature session is hands-on\, giving you 
 the opportunity to use the databases and undertake a small search during t
 he workshop. The statistics session is very practical and apart from basi
 c maths you would learn at school\, makes no assumptions about prior stati
 stical knowledge.
