DESCRIPTION:Synopsis:\nLow- and middle-income countries are estimated to ha
 ve the highest levels of air pollution. Yet most measurements of air pollu
 tion have been conducted in high-income countries where air pollution is l
 owest. Measurement of air pollution exposure in low-income settings presen
 ts a number of logistical and technical challenges. I will discuss my grou
 p’s work to develop and test measurements of exposure to air pollution i
 n low-income settings.\nBio:\nJill Baumgartner is an Associate Professor a
 nd William Dawson Scholar in the Department of Epidemiology\, Biostatistic
 s and Occupational Health at McGill University in Montreal\, Canada. She s
 tudies exposure to environmental pollutants and their affect on human heal
 th in the context of urbanization and development. She is currently a Visi
 ting Researcher in the School of Public Health at Imperial College London.
