SUMMARY:Physics Summer School 2025
DESCRIPTION:The Summer School is a 4 day (7th – 10th July 2025) event tha
 t gives students a microcosm of university life as a physics undergrad. Th
 e entire school is centred around the ubiquitous phenomena of oscillations
 . Students will receive lectures and spend time in a real undergrad labora
 tory. They will be taught to program in the Python programming language fr
 om scratch and use their new found knowledge to model and simulate real ph
 ysical systems. Finally they will\, as a group\, present the work that the
 y have done with prizes awarded for the best presentations. This event is 
 provided free of charge and participants are provided with free lunch vouc
 hers. Given the group nature of the school we usually ask schools to send 
 groups of ~8-10 students and if possible a member of staff (needn’t be s
 ame member each day) to act as mentor.
