DESCRIPTION:The Changing the Face of Science (CFoS) Research Symposium is a
 n annual event that celebrates the research and perspectives of early care
 er researchers from underrepresented backgrounds across Imperial.\nThis ye
 ar’s symposium will feature a series of academic talks from early career
  researchers\, showcasing their work across a range of disciplines. Alongs
 ide the talks\, there will be a poster session\, a lightning thesis compet
 ition\, and a keynote careers panel titled:\nChanging the Face of Science:
  How Underrepresented Early Career Researchers Can Thrive in Science\nWhil
 e the symposium highlights researchers from historically underrepresented 
 groups\, equity\, diversity and inclusion (EDI) is a collective responsibi
 lity. Creating a more inclusive research culture requires engagement from 
 the entire academic community. CFoS provides an open\, welcoming space for
  all to listen\, learn\, and contribute.\nThe programme will include:\n\n\
 nAcademic talks from early career researchers at Imperial\n\n\nA keynote c
 areers panel on EDI in research careers\n\n\nPoster session with lunch\n\n
 \nLightning thesis competition\n\n\nNetworking reception with food and ref
 reshments\n\n\nWhether you’re looking to share your ideas\, discover new
  research\, or connect with peers and colleagues across disciplines\, CFoS
  is an opportunity to foster meaningful conversations and collaborations t
 hat extend beyond the day.
