SUMMARY:Strengthening Energy Infrastructure Resilience (invite only)
DESCRIPTION:Managing risks from natural hazards and extreme weather\nIn the
  context of the changing nature of energy systems\, the IEA is mapping maj
 or risks and exploring effective responses to emerging threats and vulnera
 bilities to energy security in both the near and long term. Key challenges
  include the importance of addressing extreme weather\, natural hazards an
 d climate change\, and how measures to make global energy infrastructure m
 ore resilient to these risks can also strengthen infrastructure against br
 oader energy security risks.\nThis technical workshop is organised in coll
 aboration with Imperial College London and the Coalition for Disaster Resi
 lient Infrastructure (CDRI) as a side-event to the IEA High-Level Roundtab
 le on Strengthening Energy Infrastructure Resilience. It aims to draw in e
 xperts from academia\, the energy and insurance sectors for a knowledge ex
 change on state-of-the-art methodologies and open questions related to ene
 rgy system resilience. Participants will be able to share their insights a
 nd experiences on these topics\, with a focus on managing risks from natur
 al hazards and extreme weather. The event covers the following areas:\n\nS
