DESCRIPTION:To mark LGBTQ+ History Month\, the EDI Centre has organised thi
 s LGBTQ+ inclusion and mental health training course\, facilitated by an
  external trainer from MindOut. MindOut is a mental health service run by 
 and for LGBTQ+ people.\nThe course takes place online and is split into tw
 o parts:\n\nPart 1: 23 February 2026\, 13.00 – 16.00\nPart 2: 25 Februar
 y 2026\, 13.00 – 16.00\n\nYou must attend both 3-hour sessions (6 hours 
 in total) to complete the course.\nThis course allows you to gain insight
  and skills in assessing and addressing the needs of LGBTQ+ staff/students
  with mental health issues. You will also gain confidence in dealing with 
 heterosexism\, homophobia\, biphobia\, and transphobia.\nThe course promot
 es an understanding of LGBTQ+ mental health\, what’s different and why\,
  as well as allowing you to explore nuanced inclusion topics and their con
 nection to LGBTQ+ identities. It will deepen your awareness of trans issue
 s and trans care pathways\, and share examples of affirmative practice int
 erventions and best practices.\nThis course is open to all staff members. 
 It is particularly recommended for Mental Health First Aiders who wish to 
 upskill and deepen their awareness of how LGBTQ+ issues can intersect with
