Who can attend Alumni Weekend? Can I bring guests and children?

All Imperial alumni are invited to attend Alumni Weekend. Registration is £8 for alumni and guests, and free for guests under 16. Please note that advanced registration for Alumni Weekend will close at 09.00 GMT on Monday 16 April. On the day registration will be available at a higher price of £10 per adult.

Registration is also free for alumni from the Class of 2017. If you are in the Class of 2017, please email alumni.weekend@imperial.ac.uk to book your place, including your department and CID.

How can I book?

You can book online via our registration page. If you previously studied at Imperial please register as an alumnus. You will need to provide the following information:

  • CID/Alumni Membership number (this can be found on your Alumni Weekend invitation email). You can also request your membership number by emailing alumni@imperial.ac.uk
  • Year of graduation
  • Department studied in

Guest tickets must be registered by an Imperial alumnus. Please include your guest's name where possible. If your guests have not yet been confirmed, please register tickets as Guest One, Guest Two etc.

Some elements of the Alumni Weekend programme are bookable in advance. We will email all registered alumni in February and March when tickets are released for additional Alumni Weekend events (such as tours, workshops and talks). Some of these events run at a small additional cost to your main Alumni Weekend pass.

What are the timings for Alumni Weekend?

Alumni Weekend runs over two days on Saturday 28 April and Sunday 29 April. The Alumni Lounge is open 10.00 - 17.00 on Saturday and 12.00 - 16.00 on Sunday.

Can I book additional guest tickets after I have made my booking?

Yes, please create a new booking via our online registration page. In order to ensure the additional tickets are linked to your alumnus record please register your guest tickets using your email address. Please include your guest's name where possible. If your guests have not yet been confirmed, please register tickets as Guest One, Guest Two etc.

I would like to meet up with old friends at the Weekend. Are you able to help me do this?

If you are no longer in touch with your friends or classmates, we are happy to pass on a message by email. Drop us a line at alumni.weekend@imperial.ac.uk, and we will be able to help.

Why not encourage any friends or classmates you are in contact with to join you at the Weekend? We can help you to organise your own reunion, or put you in touch with your classmates if a reunion is already in progress.

We encourage you to try and communicate with friends and classmates in advance of Alumni Weekend to arrange a day, time and location to meet. You may find the Alumni Lounge is a convenient and comfortable location to meet up.

Will there be refreshments/lunch available at Alumni Weekend?

We will provide unlimited complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits in the Alumni Lounge all weekend. A variety of other catering options are available throughout campus including selected College outlets and the Festival street food stalls. You are more than welcome to bring food and drink into the Alumni Lounge.

How do I get to the South Kensington Campus?

The South Kensington Campus is easily accessible by underground, bus and train. Further information, and a map of the campus, can be found on the College travel pages

Is accommodation available on campus before or after the Weekend?

As Alumni Weekend is being held during term time, there is very limited on-site accommodation. However, we enjoy excellent partnerships with local hotels who have been carefully selected with specially negotiated rates to ensure you the best value. Please book directly with the hotel reservations team using the details on their website.

Is parking available at the College?

There are no parking spaces available on campus during the Imperial Festival and Alumni Weekend. There are a number of NCP car parks within the vicinity of the College. We suggest using other modes of transport to reach the South Kensington Campus as it is easily accessible by underground, bus and train. What about photography?

You are welcome to bring a camera to take your own photographs. Please note that photography and video recording will take place in the Alumni Lounge and throughout the Imperial Festival and photos will be available to view on social media and on Imperial's website after the event. Imperial College London reserves the right to use any photography from the event in online and offline publications, but guarantees that photographs will not be made available for the use of any third parties external to the College.

If you do not wish to be photographed, please alert the team on the registration desk when you arrive in the Alumni Lounge and you will be provided with a 'no photography' badge.

What is the cancellation policy?

For any cancellations made up to Friday 20 April, a full refund will be issued. Any cancellations made after this date cannot be refunded. Please note that all refunds will be processed after Alumni Weekend has taken place.
