The first Great Exhibition Road Festival took place on 28-30 June 2019 with a smaller Festival on 9-15 October 2021 and the most recent Festival on 18-19 June 2022. We wish to thank local residents for their support. 

The Great Exhibition Road Festival brings science and the arts to life for visitors to this area and beyond, including families and young people who participate in an exciting range of activities from creative hands-on workshops to fascinating talks and exhibitions. In 2022 we had a fantastic response to the Festival, with 92% of visitors rating it as good or excellent. 96% of visitors would visit again and 94% of people would recommend the Festival to a friend. We are pleased to announce that we are planning for the Great Exhibition Road Festival to return to Exhibition Road on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June 2023. We hope that you will join us for another weekend exploring the extraordinary!

To ensure visitors and residents have a safe and enjoyable time, we are working with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) and Westminster City Council (WCC) to ensure plans have minimal impact on residents. 
 
We are requesting that Exhibition Road (between Cromwell Road and Prince Consort Road) be closed to traffic, during part of Friday 16 June, and then during the day on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June with the road reopening overnight on Saturday evening. Car parking arrangements would change during that time as well.  
 
During the road closure period, residents within the closure area would continue to have pedestrian and vehicle access to their properties, supported by the security team onsite, as we did in 2019 and 2022. We will of course keep you updated as plans progress and details are finalised.
