Masters courses

We offer a range of 12-month, full-time Master's courses, leading to the MSc or MRes degree of the University of London and to the Diploma of the Imperial College (DIC).  The MRes Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Research and MRes in Grand Challenges in Ecosystems and the Environment are also offered as part-time courses.

Graduates with at least a lower second class Honours degree or equivalent are admitted in October each year for Master's courses in a range of specialist fields (note: some courses have higher entrance requirements - see each course description page for details).  For further information about Masters courses please contact the individual course directors.

PhD studentships

Our higher degrees lead to the PhD degree of Imperial College London and the Diploma of the Imperial College (DIC).  Some students may undertake a 'split' PhD programme, which enables them to follow a large part of their research under the aegis of an approved institute abroad.

Please contact individual team leaders for availability or view the Department of Life Sciences PhD Studentships.

We welcome the organisation of short courses for GCEE members and outside attendees, and provide teaching spaces and logistic support for such events.
