Call for posters and abstracts
The Wellcome Trust Centre for Global Health Research
Annual Meeting 2017:
Call for posters and oral presentations.
On 8th June 2017, IGHI's Wellcome Trust-Imperial College Centre for Global Health Research is hosting a Global Health Meeting and is requesting submission of abstracts for a poster or oral presentation.
Global Health Meeting
Researchers from all Imperial’s Faculties and their collaborators are encouraged to submit an abstract. The topics can cover any subject and discipline (e.g. engineering, medicine, biological research, epidemiology etc.) but must be linked and applicable to health of people in poor and marginalised communities, around the world or in the UK.
In a research environment where funding is increasingly drawn to collaborative research, cross-university research is encouraged and interdisciplinary research is used as a problem solving strategy. The aim of this meeting is to highlight the breath and knowledge our academics and the various Global Health initiatives underway at Imperial and with Imperial involvement. It is hoped that the meeting will bring researchers together to foster collaborations to tackle some of the most pressing health challenges facing today’s society.
- Be a student or early career researcher and with research focused on health in poor and marginalised communities
- Be an Imperial student/staff or be actively collaborating with Imperial academics
- Have a high proficiency in English
- Have an interest and awareness of Global Health concerns and a willingness to engage with current topics in Global Health.
Prizes will be given for the best poster and oral presentation.
For Imperial researchers based in LMICs the centre has a limited number of grants up to maximum value of £1000 to cover flight and accommodation costs to attend this event. To apply to this scheme please fill in the relevant section of the application form.
The Application Form 2017 Wellcome Annual Meeting must be completed and emailed to email@example.com by Friday 21st April 2017.
