Global health in a snapshot - IGHI photography competition

For the Institute of Global Health Innovation’s first-ever photography competition, we’re offering you the chance to show off your photography skills by capturing some of today’s key themes in global healthcare.

We want you to send us your best photos that encapsulate any of the following three themes:

  1. Care in the community
  2. Health and the environment
  3. The future of health

The competition is open to all Imperial College London staff and students. The deadline for submission is 15 November, 9:00am.

How do I enter?

Submit one photograph for one or more of the themes using our entry form here.

Our impartial panel will shortlist 9 photos using the following criteria:

  • Creativity
  • Originality
  • Capturing the theme
  • Technical aspects

Three shortlisted images from each theme will be displayed as part of an exhibition, and also featured on IGHI's Instagram page.

The full IGHI Photography competition Terms and Conditions of the competition are available here.

Voting

We’ll be asking followers to ‘like’ their favourite image on Instagram to help determine the winner.

The nine shortlisted images will also be exhibited in the Imperial College London main entrance from 12:00pm-6.30pm on 4 December where Imperial staff and students will have a chance to vote for the best image in person.

We will use the combined votes from Instagram and the exhibition to determine the winner of our prizes below:

1st prize - £150
Runner up - £50

Announcement of results

We will announce the winner of the competition on our website and social media on 6 December.
