As an employer and sponsor we must fulfil our responsibility by ensuring that the staff we employ have the right to work in the UK before they commence employment.
These webpages are designed to provide information to both current and prospective staff joining us from outside of the European Economic Area and guidance for our managers when recruiting such staff. This guidance includes the process to follow when appointing someone who needs to obtain the right to work through the Points Based System and the ongoing responsibilities throughout that individual’s employment. Prior to advertising a vacancy, consideration should be given to whether the post may attract candidates from outside of the EEA. If so and the selected candidate requires Tier 2 sponsorship, you will need to ensure that specific requirements have been met in order for a Certificate of Sponsorship to be issued.

The importance of compliance
UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) impose strict conditions on the employment of non EEA nationals. Compliance with these conditions allows us to continue to employ staff from outside of the EEA.
