Following the implementation of a new interim Work Location Framework for all job families, we have now reached a position where we’d like to understand the impact of the new way of working and whether the principles of the framework are being delivered.

The University Management Board (UMB) has recently endorsed the approach to assess and evaluate the framework, which will help inform their decision on the future of the framework in 2023. We will be conducting a College-wide consultation over the coming months to gather data and feedback through workshops, focus groups, interviews and online surveys. Our aim is to engage in open, inclusive, and transparent discussions with individuals and teams, with particular focus on the following elements:

  1. Student Experience, and evaluating the accessibility of a range of student services
  2. Service Delivery and Performance, looking at services such as HR and Finance, and the financial implications on services such as catering and sports facilities
  3. Utilisation of Space in Professional Services areas, by measuring attendance on campus and thinking about how we could share space more effectively
  4. Staff Wellbeing and Satisfaction through surveys, focus groups and interviews
  5. Effectiveness of Technology and Facilities whilst working in a hybrid manner
  6. Recruitment and Retention of our staff

An online survey will be shared with staff and managers for their feedback by the end of 2022. If there’s anything you’d like to provide feedback on the Work Location Framework in the meantime, please click here to complete the current online feedback form.
