New Starters Networking Events
The Support Services Social Committee hosts termly New Staff Networking Events to get new starters together to meet one another and share experiences of their first few weeks and months at Imperial.
The session starts with introductions from Committee members and a run through of forthcoming social activities. Attendees are then asked to complete two tasks to get them talking. The first is to write on post-it notes their first impressions of the College in terms of what we do well and not so well. They are then asked to note down their ideas for future social events that they would be interested in attending.
Claire Kidd, Development Manager for the Faculty of Engineering said, “it was nice to meet a few people from different parts of the College in an informal, relaxed setting and good to hear about some of the social activities taking place here”.
