Job description

Job summary

The Imperial College Business School is expanding its provision of high-quality online and blended degree programmes and we are seeking a talented and motivated individual to assist us in this exciting initiative.

Duties and responsibilities

You will work closely with the learning design team and senior academic faculty to develop media and design assets for the full suite of programmes for the School. The primary focus of the role will be on media creation and the use of video/audio and multimedia within course and programme materials, but you will also be expected to contribute to new and ongoing innovation projects, for example VR, the Hologram and Business Simulations.

Essential requirements

The ideal candidate needs to be highly motivated by doing a great job, with a real sense of responsibility and fearless in the pursuit of perfection. You will have experience of working in online education and managing the associated infrastructure together with knowledge of instructional design and good interpersonal skills. You must have a passion for online learning and be pro-active in demonstrating how media can be used to benefit students. You must also have strong time management and organisational skills for this role.

You will largely be working on MBA, MSc and UG programmes as well as Executive Education and MOOCs delivered by the Business School and therefore knowledge of, or an interest in, the subjects taught at a Business School would be advantageous.

Further information

The Imperial College Business School is committed to innovation in the use of learning technologies on its programmes and all modules taught at the school now have an online component. The School is expanding rapidly, and we offer a fast-paced and stimulating working environment. This is a place to challenge yourself and build your professional skills. You will work under the direction of a Senior Media Producer but have distinct areas over which you have responsibility.

More detailed information on the role and the type of person we are looking for can be found in the person specification. Please note, while we are currently operating as a remote team, we will be looking to return to the campus in due time and so it’s important that you live within a commutable distance of the South Kensington campus.

Informal enquiries can be made to Dr Sarah Grant, Associate Director, Edtech Lab.
