Duties and responsibilities

You will work within an internationally renowned multidisciplinary group undertaking research into the prevention and early detection of colorectal cancer, the second biggest cancer killer in the developed world. Joining a friendly, highly motivated team, you will be involved in several clinical research projects funded by the UK Government and charities, including Cancer Research UK.

Under the supervision of Prof. Cross, and working closely with other members of the team, you will be involved in designing and analysing clinical and epidemiological studies, and you will assist with the preparation of these studies for publication. You will be expected to become familiar with all research currently being undertaken by the CSPRG, and you will take a broader interest in the field of colorectal cancer as a whole.

Essential requirements

We are seeking a motivated professional with a background in epidemiology. You will be educated to BSc degree level or equivalent, in a science or health related subject and hold a relevant Master’s degree. In addition, you should have previous experience in epidemiology, proven research skills and experience in the analysis and reporting of research datasets.
