Trial designs range from early stage to large confirmatory studies, with a focus currently on a number of therapeutic areas including cancer, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, respiratory disease, emergency medicine and critical care, HIV and infectious diseases. Other key areas currently being developed include surgery and hepatology research.
Duties and responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for a new Clinical Trials Manager, who will be responsible for all aspects of trial management and monitoring of a trial on the ICTU HIV portfolio, including close liaison with the Chief Investigator and Principal Investigators at other centres, implementing and adapting established ICTU systems to ensure the trial is developed and conducted to the highest scientific and regulatory standards.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in biomedical / scientific field and proven clinical trial / project management experience gained in multi-centre, randomised clinical trials is essential. You will need to show strong leadership and motivational skills as well as effective communication, organisational and time management skills. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a UKCRC registered trials unit and relevant experience is highly desirable.
This full-time post is available immediately and is offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months in the first instance. Travel is expected between the Imperial College campuses and research sites as detailed in the job description once the Covid19 restrictions have been lifted (remote working until further notice).
