Recognising that people perform best when they are able to ‘be themselves’, DoLS aims to create a working environment that is inclusive. All members of the department share the responsibility for achieving that.

The department’s Equality Diversity and Inclusion Committee, chaired by Dr Kenji Okuse (interim Chair) is a forum where issues of equality, diversity and inclusion can be discussed and addressed. It inputs into the whole range of departmental activities to help instil a genuinely supportive culture.
