If you are an international applicant (from outside the EU) applying to an MEng Degree you will need to apply for an ATAS Certificate:

  • To find the Common Aggregation Hierarchy (CAH) code and ‘descriptor’ (formerly JCAS code) you need to:

    • Visit the MEng course page
    • On the right-hand side, navigate to ‘Entry requirements’
    • Expand the ‘Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS)’
    • On the right-hand side, navigate to ‘Course Structure’ to pick the relevant course modules

PLEASE NOTE: ATAS is only valid for 6 months and
must be valid at the start of the course. We advise that you do not submit your ATAS application before April.
