You are warmly invited to the above seminar which will be followed by a drinks reception. The talk will be given by Dr Liz Elvidge who is the Head of the Imperial College Postdoc Development Centre. Liz has extensive knowledge of a range of fellowship schemes, and is a panel member for the Faculty of Medicine and Engineering Imperial Junior Research Fellowship scheme.

As well as showcasing some of the research activity which MERU has been supporting, we offered workshops to help members to plan, execute and publish their own education research. This year we had contributions from our colleagues at LKCMedicine in Singapore, as well as from our current medical student body, and we welcomed elective students from Singapore who joined us for the conference.

Afternoon conference to discuss issues impacting on Master’s teaching within the Faculty of Medicine. Keynote speaker Simone Buitendijk presented her vision and ideas for implementation of Active Learning within the College, and provocations were put forward by staff to challenge and instigate discussion in the room about the meaning of Active Learning, and the implications of the new strategy in our everyday teaching.
