For open academic positions, a search committee will be assembled to target the best candidates in the disciplinary field from across cultures and circumstances (Know Your Pool).

The search committee should have as its aim achieving a diverse community of colleagues across such characteristics as gender, race, religion or belief, disability and sexual orientation. Overlap between the search committee and the recruitment panel should be kept to a minimum.

Where appropriate and possible, open job descriptions will be used to broaden the remit of the recruitment in order to enable the best candidates in the discipline to be targeted.
