Welcome by Professor Sue Smith – Director of Education at NHLI

The National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI) offers a unique suite of taught masters programmes which combine the world-leading expertise of NHLI, the Royal Brompton Hospital and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Our degrees are awarded by Imperial College London and all our students have access to Imperial’s outstanding study and research facilities as well as the opportunity to study with teachers who are all experts in their fields.  We offer programmes which are suitable for both clinically and non-clinically qualified students, as well as highly specialised programmes aimed at nurses and other healthcare professionals.

In addition, we host the Respiratory and Cardiovascular Science Stream of MRes Biomedical Research, which is intended for students who know they want to pursue a career in cardiovascular or respiratory research. Prospective students can apply for a range of studentships and NHS staff who wish to apply for the MSc Genomic Medicine, may be eligible for full funding from Health Education England.
