UKRI Centre in AI for Healthcare (AI4Health)

[70152] Research Tutorials in AI and ML for Healthcare    (2020 - Present)

In the AI4Health Centre, we developed an interactive, reading group style module to help PhD students build skills that would help them throughout their research journey, e.g., evaluating research papers, delivering presentations and improving academic writing.

I lead this module which is attended by all first year PhD students at the Centre.

Regulation and Innovation    (2020 - Present)

This is our bespoke training programme on how medical device regulations work in the context of AI and how innovators can navigate the healthcare ecosystem.

I run this programme with the help of fantastic speakers from academia and the industry, e.g. Hardian Health, Lakera AI, and Imperial's Bioengineering Department.

Introduction to AI for Clinical Researchers    (e-Learning Course, 2022)

In collaboration with the IGHI, I co-developed this online training course which was commissioned by the NIHR Clinical Research Network. This is a self-paced course for colleagues involved in clinical research that can benefit from AI.

We take you through the background and context of health AI in the UK, technical aspects (terminology, use-cases), as well as practical considerations, ethics and regulation. You can find more information about this e-learning course here.

MRes in AI and ML Programme

[70061] Research Tutorials in AI and ML    (2021 - Present)

I lead this interactive MRes module which aims to develop research students' ability to critique, summarise and present scientific literature.
