Summary
Dr Heyes is a Reader in Heat Transfer in the Mechanical Engineering Department with research interests in experimental thermofluids. He is also Director for Education for the Energy Futures Laboratory.
Andy Heyes is a graduate of the University of Manchester, where he received a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) an M.Sc and a Ph.D for research concerning the development/application of optical methods for high speed aerodynamics.
Before coming to Imperial College London, Andy worked with Rolls Royce plc and British Aerospace (Military Aircraft Division Warton).
Andy is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of The Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He is a memeber of the IMechE Thermofluid Mechanics Committee and the UK Heat Transfer Committee.
