Summary

Anne Houston is the Director of Training at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment. Her main role is to manage the delivery of the various education programmes at the Grantham Institute.

Anne is a co-Director of the new Masters in Cleantech Innovation, jointly hosted by the Dyson School of Design Engineering and the Grantham Institute. Anne also works with Imperial College Business School on the delivery of the joint Masters in Climate Change, Management and Finance.

Another key element if the Education Programmes is the NERC funded Science and Solutions for a Changing Planet Doctoral Training Partnership (SSCP DTP), which integrates six Host Partners and a number of other private and public sector partners to train and inspire a new generation of experts and leaders to tackle some of the toughest climate and environmental challenges.

Anne is a member of the Grantham Institute's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Anne joined Imperial College London in 2019. Prior to this, she managed the Climate and Energy College at the University of Melbourne, which comprises of an international team of early career researchers conducting climate and energy systems research in an interdisciplinary environment. During this time, she helped to establish the Energy Transition Hub. 

She was also previously the Senior Project and Policy Officer - International at the Australian Academy of Technological Science and Engineering as well as the Executive Officer of the Australasian Industrial Research Group. In that period, she was awarded an Endeavour Executive Fellowship, undertaken in Japan.
