AB - In the context of this work we attempt to examine the intermittency characteristics of thermoacoustic instabilities in an experimental swirl stabilized combustor operating with lean premixed air methanemixture. The instabilities are examined employing nonlinear dynamics tools, which can reveal the structure of the oscillations and allow for the development of methods that can forecast the onset of oscillations.
