Summary

I am a PhD researcher in the @sys_sig group headed by Nick.S.Jones. We're group of 10-15 people with physics, maths, biology and computer science backgrounds interested mainly in two areas: Mitochondrial biology & social networks.

My interests focus on understanding how and why ageing happens. One of the key contenders for a cause of ageing is mitochondrial degradation. Briefly, I use tools from computational biology to study this potential causal mechanism of ageing. More specifically, I use single-cell genomics, statistics, machine learning, and maths inspired by statistical physics and population genetics to understand why this degradation occurs at the single-cell level.
