Akeem is a postdoctoral research associate at the Center for Systems Engineering and Innovation at Imperial College London. He is currently involved on the Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) funded project -  “Analysing Systems Interdependencies using a Digital Twin”. The project aims to to articulate the extent to which a digital twin can be used to generate new insight on systems interdependencies. 

Prior to joining Imperial College, Akeem completed his Masters and PhD in Building Construction Engineering and Management at the Construction Technology and Innovation Laboratory of Chung-Ang University (South Korea).

His research interests include construction pedagogy, construction safety, defect prevention, quality management and information sharing through the application of innovative and digital technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, Building Information Modelling, computer vision and linked data.
