Ahmed works on a Reservoir Engineering industrial research project with TotalEnergies deploying Digital Rock Physics in the area of Enhanced Oil Recovery. His project focuses on investigating the underlying mechanisms of Low Salinity Waterflooding in Carbonates using X-ray imaging. His supervisors are Dr. Branko Bijeljic and Prof. Martin Blunt.
