Summary
Dr. Aonan Zhang is a Research Associate in Quantum Information in the Department of Physics at Imperial College London. Previously, Dr. Zhang earned his Bachelor's degree and Ph.D. in Optical Engineering from Nanjing University and joined the Photonic Quantum Information lab at Imperial in 2022. His research interests encompass photonic quantum information, quantum metrology and their applications, especially the interdisciplinary topics across quantum physics, optics and computer science.
He has received a variety of honors and awards, including the UKRI Guarantee Postdoctoral Fellowship (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship), the Best Poster Award of the 69th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, OSA Jean Bennett Memorial Scholarship, the SPIE Optics and Photonics Education Scholarship, the Wang Daheng Optics Award etc. He is also an active Early Career Member of Optica and Editorial Board Member of New Journal of Physics.
