Dr Alessia David is a Clinical Research Fellow in the Centre for Integrative System Biology and Bioinformatics at Imperial College London and a Honorary Consultant Physician at Imperial College NHS Trust. She graduated with honours in Medicine from the University of Rome La Sapienza and completed her specialist training in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases. She holds a PhD in Molecular Endocrinology from the William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary University London and an MSc in Bioinformatics and System Biology from Imperial College London. In 2013, she was awarded an MRC fellowship in Biomedical Informatics. After completing her fellowship, she continued her research work as a Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London. Over the last few years, she has been engaged in identifying the genetic and molecular mechanisms contributing to human diseases by using a range of mathematical and bioinformatics approaches. She has received funding from the MRC and Wellcome Trust.
