I started my position as Digital Partner within the Service Strategy and Planning team in spring 2017.

My role involves connecting with colleagues across Administrative and Support Services and more recently the Safety department and the Student's Union. I am also providing maternity cover for the Faculty of Engineering (FoE), alongside my colleague, Will Bennett, who is providing cover for FoE on educational matters. My role mainly involves relationship management and assisting departments with strategic goals, rather than the more operational IT requests of my previous support roles.

A typical day could involve defining digital issues and opportunities, developing new ideas, contributing to service enhancements, project brief and business case creation as well as attending project board meetings.

After obtaining a Genetics degree, I started my career as a university-based research scientist. After a number of years, I decided to pursue my interest in computing. Since then, I have worked in various IT support roles within the public and private sectors. I was based at the Medical Research Council before joining ICT at Imperial in 2012.
