Summary

Summary

I completed a BSc Hons (1st class) from the University of Edinburgh in 2014, where I was awarded the chemistry BSc prize.  After this, I moved to Imperial College for an MRes in green chemistry (Distinction) in 2015, followed by  a PhD in the Durrant group in 2020, working in collaboration with the Domen group (Univ. Tokyo). During this time I studied the the photochemistry and electronic structure of particulate photocatalysts used for light driven water splitting. For this work I was awarded the Imperial College Chemistry PhD prize.

After my PhD, I decided to change fields to electrochemistry. I am currently working in both the Durrant group and Stephens groups to study the mechanisms of oxygen evolution electrocatalysis. I also run the open source spectroscopy project, which aims to make the construction of advanced spectroscopic instrumentation and the analysis of the resulting data sets accessible to all researchers.
