Summary

Berkay Özbek received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey in 2019 and 2021, respectively, where he developed microelectronics for fully implantable cochlear implants as a part of his thesis entitled “Low Power Highly Programmable Analog Front-End For 12-Channel Fully Implantable Cochlear Implants”. He was the recipient of 1512 Young Entrepreneur Grant by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK).

He joined the Next Generation Neural Interfaces (NGNI) Lab and the Centre for Bio-Inspired Technology (CBIT) at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Imperial College London as a PhD student in April 2022.

His research interests are low power analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits and systems design for biomedical applications.
