Benedikt Kolbeinsson is a PhD candidate at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. He is currently in the final year of his PhD, supervised by Professor Krystian Mikolajczyk.

Benedikt primarily researches machine learning and computer vision methods for autonomous vehicle vision.

Prior to starting his PhD, Benedikt earned his MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Management from Imperial. His master's thesis, titled "Domain transfer between images with GANs", explored the application of generative adversarial networks to address domain transfer challenges in the context of person re-identification.

Additionally, Benedikt is a co-founder of K01, a startup dedicated to developing innovative AI solutions that address real-world problems, particularly in fields such as health and law.
