Summary
Chang is a PhD student in the Public Health Policy Evaluation Unit in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health, School of Public Health. She is under the supervision of Professor Christopher Millett and Dr Thomas Hone. Her research interests lie in evaluating the impacts of primary health care reforms on health systems, health outcomes and equity. Her current research is based in China.
Chang also collaborates with researchers from The George Institute for Global Health in Australia and China, and engages in the SAPPHIRE project led by The George Institute for Global Health and Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Her PhD project is to evaluate the impact of China’s primary health care reform since 2009 on health system and health outcomes. The project will include two phases:
- A systematic review of the impact of primary health reforms on health system and health outcomes since 2009 in China. The study protocol is registered in PROSPERO (further information can be found here).
- Quantitative studies using quasi-experimental study designs to assess the impacts of China’s primary health care reforms on quality of care and health outcomes since 2009.
