Summary

Claire is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer and Consultant Endocrinologist at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust. She has a PhD in clinical neuroscience and neuroendocrinology (pituitary) from the Division of Brain Sciences, Imperial College. She qualified in Medicine from Cambridge University & Imperial College and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2008. She completed her Higher Specialist Training in 2018 and is dual accredited in Endocrinology, Diabetes and General Medicine. 

Claire was competitively awarded a Medical Research Council Training Fellowship (2012-2016) to conduct research in neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration and the hormonal/systemic influences on brain degeneration and repair especially growth hormone deficiency and the metabolic syndrome. Her subspecialty interests also include Graves' orbitopathy, orbital imaging and other autoimmune endocrine conditions such as Addison's disease. Claire provides endocrine expertise to the EUGOGO-accredited multidisciplinary thyroid eye clinics at the Western Eye and Charing Cross Hospitals. She teaches medical students and supervises endocrinology BSc students at Imperial College and teaches on MRCP examination courses for postgraduates. 

Claire has also held roles in the pharmaceutical industry. She is a global medical director at Pfizer currently focussed on developing new medicines for patients with inflammatory skin diseases.
