Christa is a PhD candidate in Health Economics in the Economics & Public Policy Group at Imperial College Business School. Christa is a member of the research teams at the Centre for Health Economics, Policy, and Innovation (CHEPI), and the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW).
Her research focuses on the economic impacts of HIV in Sub-Saharan Africa, examining microeconometric and macroeconometric outcomes of HIV in the natural resource and labour markets, and in Test and Treat trials. Her PhD is supervised by Dr. Marisa Miraldo (Imperial College Business School) and Dr. Katharina Hauck (Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology).
Christa holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Economics from the University of Oxford, a dual Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from London Business School (LBS) and Columbia Business School, and a BA in Economics from Stanford University. Prior to joining Imperial, Christa worked as a research assistant at the Harvard School of Public Health.
