Summary

Charlotte graduated with a MSci degree in Biological Sciences from University College London in 2017. She is now a  researcher within the Life Sciences Department at Imperial College London, supervised by Prof Jon Lloyd. She joined the SSCP DTP at the Grantham Institute in 2017.

Charlotte has experience in experimental coral reef ecology, and has spent time abroad in both Australia (University of Queensland) and Florida (Mote Marine), conducting marine science research. Charlotte is now working with researchers at the Centre of Coral Reef Excellence (Dr Alana Grech), NOAA (Dr Scott Heron) and the UNSW (Prof Tracy Ainsworth), Australia, on coral reef ecology.

Her study system is the Great Barrier Reef, the largest reef system on earth, and arguably the most vulnerable ecosystem to climate change. Her research interests lie primarily in coral bleaching. Specifically, integration of physiological, ecological and environmental factors that may convey resistance in bleaching, into management through experimental and modelling techniques.
