Summary

Charles is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon specialized in complex primary hip and knee reconstruction and revision procedures. Also he carries his research at the MSK Lab and SWLEOC research Center alongside Professors J.Cobb and R.Field, respectively, he holds a Honorary Senior Lecturer position at imperial College London, he's part of the French and European Hip and Knee Societies, and he's the Past Vice-President of the General Assembly of the Federation of Orthopaedic Trainees in Europe (FORTE). 

he graduated from Bordeaux University (France) in 2004 and completed a 3 year Senior Clinical Fellowship focusing on joint reconstruction at the London Hip Unit with Dr Sarah Muirhead-Allwood and at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital (Montreal, Canada) with professors P.A Vendittoli and M.Lavigne.

In 2013 he became a Consultant at Bordeaux Academic Hospital, France. In 2015 I was given the opportunity to move to London and work alongside Professors Justin Cobb and Richard Field. Charles performs his elective practice at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Center (SWLEOC).

His work in joint reconstruction as well as his research projects are mainly oriented towards joint replacement techniques aiming at patient specific implant positioning (kinematic alignment techniques) for hip and knee replacements and the development of intraoperative enhancing (augmented reality) tools for implant positioning
