Summary

Overview

Christoph Schwingshackl leads the Structural Dynamics Group in the Vibration University Technology Centre sponsored by Rolls-Royce plc. (www3.imperial.ac.uk/vutc)

His main research interests are:

  • The prediction of the nonlinear dynamic response of aircraft engine assemblies
  • Dynamic behaviour of joints and other contact surfaces (analysis and measurement)
  • Validation techniques for linear and nonlinear dynamic models
  • Experimental techniques for nonlinear vibration measurements (Operational Level excitation, Full Field measurement techniques)
  • Rotor dynamics (Gyroscopic and Coriolis effects)
  • Vibrotactile Feedback
