Summary
Cathy is Department Manager for the Department of Immunology and Inflammation.
Based in the Commonwealth Building at the Hammersmith campus, Cathy has overarching responsibility for the provision of effective operational services within the Department. She manages departmental resources and works closely with the Head of Department, Professor Marina Botto, and other colleagues across the Department and Faculty, to support delivery of the department's strategic objectives.
Cathy joined Imperial in 2013 as Section Manager within the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, managing a diverse funding portfolio and providing advice and support on a range of issues including funding applications and costings, recruitment and selection processes and staff contracts.
In 2017 she became Divisional Manager for the Division of Infectious Diseases, and in 2018 Cathy took on the newly-created role of Global Health Manager within the Department of Medicine, working with senior staff across the department to support those researchers and projects whose work focuses on improving access to health and healthcare in low and middle income countries (LMICs). Cathy moved to her current role in mid-2019.
