Applied Spectroscopy - CENG97072

Aims

This module teaches students fundamentals and applications of Applied Spectroscopy. This knowledge will equip students with necessary understanding of a range of analytical techniques needed for addressing challenges being faced by industry. Spectroscopicmethods such as FTIR, Raman and ultraviolet-visible absorption spectroscopy, optical sensors, spectroscopic imaging, NMR, Mass spectrometry, XPS. Fundamental topics include the theory of spectra and their interpretation while applications include innovative approaches in industries. This module features example problems solved in class.
