Summary

Summary

Damien Ming is an infectious diseases and general internal medicine trainee in the London Deanery. He completed his PhD at the Centre for Antimicrobial Optimisation in 2023 on the use of digital health and novel data methodologies applied to acute febrile illnesses in low- and middle-income settings.

This work is supervised by Alison Holmes, Pantelis Georgiou and Sophie Yacoub and done in collaboration with the Hospital For Tropical Diseases Ho Chi Minh City, Nuffield Department of Medicine Oxford and Oxford University Clinical Reserach Unit (OUCRU) Vietnam.

His interests include the implementation of digital health interventions and the use of clinical datasets within decision-support systems, clinical wearables and novel minimally-invasive biosensors for the management of febrile presentations including dengue and bacterial bloodstream infections.

He completed his undergraduate and clinical training at the University of Oxford in 2009, diploma in tropical medicine & hygiene at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and has worked in clinical research projects based in Malawi, Laos and Vietnam .
