Summary

Daqing Yang is a Teaching Fellow at the Department of Aeronautics. His teaching interest covers aircraft conceptual design, airframe preliminary design, flight mechanics and aerospace project development. 

His research interest is focused on aircraft configuration development with the aid of flight simulation. He is experienced in aircraft concept validation by means of scaled flight experiment.


Background

2020 - present: Teaching Fellow in the Department of Aeronautics at Imperial College London.

2018 - 2019: Research Fellow in Aerospace Integration Research Centre (AIRC) at Cranfield University.

2012 - 2017: Research and Development engineer in Beijing Aeronautical Science and Technology Research Institute of COMAC.

2007 - 2011: PhD in Aerospace Engineering at Cranfield University, UK. Thesis title "Stability and control of seamless aeroelastic wing aircraft".

2002 - 2006: BEng in Aerospace System Engineering at University of Hertfordshire, UK.
